The Magnificent Dreamland
Dream is something familiar in our life. We define dream is not only
about our wish or target in the future, but it is also something that usually
happens when we sleep. It always happens to me almost every night. My dream is
always different. Sometimes, I have a nightmare, but one day I had a
magnificent dream. It felt real until I thought that I died and I have been in
the heaven. Now, let me tell you about my extraordinary dream.
It happened when I was in 20 years old, more precisely 10 years ago.
Now I am 30 years old. At that time, I was still a college student in 5th
semester. One day, I was exhausted after having so many activities at my campus
until I went home late. Home here means boarding house because I considered my
boarding house was like my own home, I felt very comfortable when I stayed
there. After I arrived at home, I directly changed my clothes, washed my face,
brushed my teeth, and prepared for going to bed. At that time, the clock showed
at 10 p.m. After I prepared for sleeping, I directly laid my body down on the
soft spring bed. It felt very comfortable until I forgot to pray, and my eyes
just fell asleep.
Suddenly, I didn’t know why, I opened my eyes and saw many things
incredible. I found myself laid down on the ground and I was alone. No one was
there. My feelings were mixed up. I felt afraid because I was alone, at once I
was also impressed by the amazing view. What I saw at that time, I was inside
the forest. However, it was different with the common forest in my country. I
could say that I felt like a small creature. There were thousands of giant
plants around me, such as the pretty giant colorful flowers, many of shady huge
green trees, and some unique large colorful mushrooms. Something which made me
surprised was the mushrooms, I just wondered why the mushrooms there had
unusual size. As I knew that usually mushroom is small, it is not bigger than
my palm. Yet those mushrooms over there were huge, perhaps about 3 meters tall
and also colorful. One mushroom there was like a shelter. It really covered me
up and perhaps, no one could see me there. Thus, I walked around slowly while
hoping I would get any help.
A few moments later, there was someone called me and I directly
stopped walking. It sounds like a girl, but I was not sure. I was a little bit
scared, so I didn’t face her. She called me again. That time, I finally turned
back and saw a different creature. I didn’t know who she was, but she looked so
pretty. Our physical looked different obviously. She had two big eyes with long
white hair and red cheeks. She also had big wings like a butterfly, but it was
transparent. She could speak in English too. Then, she told me that I was in
The Magnificent Dreamland. I was very curious, what The Magnificent Dreamland
was actually. I didn’t understand what she meant. I thought I died and I have
been in the heaven because I stayed in a beautiful place. She invited me to go
around the forest while telling me that she was a powerful girl. I didn’t
believe it easily. I asked her to proof it. She agreed with me, but before she
showed me her power, she told me something. She said that she was actually a
fairy, her name is El Maricon. Every fairy had a different power, but all of
them had the same wings. For the size of the wings, it depended on how tall a
fairy. The taller fairies, the bigger wings they had.
After a few hours we walked around the forest, we finally took a
rest together. We sat under a big sunflower. Then, she asked me, “Are you
hungry? If so, I can bring you a food and beverage you request, and it all is
free.” I directly answered enthusiastically, “Are you kidding me? I am starving
by the way. Now, I just want to eat Lasagna and drink Pisco Sour. But, how do
you bring me that?” She stated, “Let’s see what I can do for you.” Then, she
swung her hands like a magician, and abracadabra… what I requested was on the
ground. It was amazing and I ate it immediately. It tasted so yummy. Then, I
realized that it was her power. I asked her about it, and she said that she
could do everything with her hands. She could take something far away from her
home easily, she could make a protector wall around her when she felt
threatened, she could change someone’s outfit as requested, and she could heal
someone’s illness. She did all by swinging her hands like a magician. I was so
impressed by that.
After I ate that special dish, I was speechless and pensive. I was
thinking that I didn’t know how long I was there, but I was falling in love
with that place. I felt like I didn’t want to get out of there. I wanted to be
there forever with her, although I still thought that I was in the heaven. El
Maricon suddenly patted my shoulder and asked me, “Hey, are you okay? How do
you feel now?” I answered weakly, “Hmm… I am confused El. I don’t know where I
am right now. Am I in the heaven right now?” She replied me, “Hey, what are you
talking about? This is a dream world, this is not real” I replied her, “What?!
So, it means I am still alive!” She just replied me with smiling. Then, I felt
something weird happened to myself. I felt like there was something pulled me
extremely strong. I tried to hold on El Maricon’s hands, but it was useless.
She couldn’t hold me back. Finally, I was pulled without saying anything to
her.
I suddenly woke up from my sleep and looked at the clock. It showed
at 8.30 a.m. I woke up late, then I realized that I stayed in dream world for a
long time. I kept staying on my bed while thinking about how wonderful that dream
world. I wanted to go back there, although I knew it was impossible. At last, I
was just able to hope that my real world could become wonderful, exactly like
in my dream.
